Step onto the battlefield and bring your favorite character to life in Cosplay Chess! Players will take on the roles of chess pieces, moving across a giant board and engaging in dramatic, in-character battles—no chess experience required!
How It Works:
- Cosplayers will be assigned a chess piece and move accordingly.
- When an opponent’s piece is taken, players will act out a battle scene—but remember, NO physical contact is allowed.
- Costumes can be changed if needed before the deadline.
Sign-Ups & Rules:
- Limited to 32 spots—first come, first served! Backup spots will be available if players drop out.
- All props/weapons must be approved and pass a safety check.
- Opening speeches are required (3-5 sentences introducing your character). Assistance is available if needed.
- Check-in is 30 minutes before the panel starts. If you cannot make it, email or message the host at ddmillerpc@gmail.com.
- Costume size is limited—you’ll be standing in a 3ft x 3ft square.
Important Dates:
- Sign-up changes (including costume updates) close at midnight on May 26.
- Confirmation emails will be sent within 48 hours of signing up.
