Event Descriptions
Ultimate Frisbee of Ultimate Destiny
Ultimate Frisbee is a non-contact, self-refereed team sport played with a Frisbee. Two teams of seven players typically compete on a field about the length of a football field, but narrower, each defending one end zone. The game starts with a “Pull” to determine possession. Players can move once the disc is released, and possession changes if the disc is not caught. The receiving team starts from where the disc crossed the line or can advance 1/3 of the field if it goes out of bounds. Passes can be made in any direction, and scoring requires the catcher to have a foot inside the end zone lines. The game can be won by reaching a set number of points or by running out the clock. Defense aims to intercept passes without contact, and if the disc is caught in the end zone by the defense, they gain possession where it entered.

VS Soccer
Two even teams of up to eleven (11) players come head to head in this epic soccer clash. Avoid your opponents and score goals to show them who will stand on top as the world’s greatest striker!
Remember the 5 D’s of Dodgeball
Dodgeball is a team game in which players must dodge or catch balls thrown by the opposition whilst attempting to strike their opponents in the same way. Take careful aim to eliminate your opponents as you show off the 5 D’s of dodgeball:
- Dodge: Swiftly evade incoming balls with lightning-fast reflexes!
- Duck: Master the art of ducking to avoid those sneaky shots!
- Dip: Strategically dip and weave through the chaos to stay in the game!
- Dive: Take the plunge and dive for cover when the heat is on!
- Dodge (again): Because one dodge just isn’t enough in this high-octane showdown!
Whether you’re a seasoned dodgeball pro or a rookie ready to take on the challenge, embrace the spirit of competition and camaraderie as you and your team aim for victory! Gather your crew, sharpen your reflexes, and mark your calendars for an epic game of dodgeball. See you on the court!
Ninja: Chunin Exam Arc
Welcome to the village hidden in the cons. Here, you will compete to see who is worthy of the rank of Chunin. Your goal is to hit your opponent’s hand with your own in one fluid motion in this cross between freeze tag and hot hands. The match starts with everyone in a circle, taking a step back and striking a pose, which they must stay in till it is their turn. On your turn, you can try to strike an opponent’s hand while they may attempt to dodge you in one fluid motion. When the combat has ended, you must freeze in place until either it’s your turn or someone attempts to strike your hand again. The last one standing will pass this exam with flying colors, while the rest must attempt to take it again next year!
GagaBall Thunderdome
Many Players will enter, only one can win! Enter the GagaBall Thunderdome! Gaga is a fast-paced, high-energy sport played in an octagonal pit. The more players, the better! While it has been dubbed a kinder, gentler version of dodgeball, make no mistake that the adrenaline will be pumping as you strive to be the last player standing. The game is played with a soft foam ball and combines the skills of dodging, striking, running, and jumping, while trying to hit opponents with a ball below the knees.
Suns Out Guns Out Volleyball
This is the perfect event to show off the winter gains by getting the guns out with the homies in this winner-takes-all volleyball game. Put together your team to flex on the competition and take home the glory!
Hyakumonogatari Kaidankai
Translated as “A Gathering of One Hundred Supernatural Tales,” is a Japanese game where participants share ghost stories or tales of the strange and unusual, with each story told by the light of a candle that is then extinguished. As the game progresses and candles are snuffed out, the room becomes increasingly dark, creating a sense of suspense and anticipation. The meetup out to the location will be at the base of the Grand Staircase. Any wanting to tell a story will be handed an LED candle.
