Ready to step into the heart-pounding heat of the stage and make a splash? Look no further than the Sun-sational Idol Festival, presented by Team 2wisted! This two-hour event will showcase a wide variety of idols as they sing and dance their way into your hearts. Don’t forget to bring those penlights!

If you are interested in being a part of this event, there are a few things you should know. Whether you are an established performer or a brand-new group, we encourage everyone to apply! We accept all kinds of idols including, but not limited to cosplay, kaigai, kpop and jpop idols. The wider variety the better! We also offer multiple set-length selections so we can include as many idols as possible in our show without sacrificing the ability to present an elevated performance!

The deadline for applications will be April 10, 2025 11:59 pm EST. As soon as applications close, Team 2wisted will be reviewing all of the applications and selecting the performers. Results will be sent out on April 14, 2025, by 11:59 pm EST but we are planning to have them out as early that day as possible, since we know waiting can be nerve-wracking!

INFORMATION AND GUIDELINES:

• Please designate a primary contact for your group. This should be the member that submits the application and will be the one to contact Team 2wisted if you need to make any changes, have any concerns, etc,.
• All members of your group MUST be 16+ in order to participate. 
• You must have a valid badge for Colossalcon Prime on the day the festival takes place.
• Your music and the content of your performance must be family-friendly.

• Your costumes must follow the general cosplay guidelines.
• Everything that enters the stage with you must leave with you.
• You may only perform as a member of ONE group. You cannot take the stage twice.
• Applicants will be able to select a 5-minute, 8-minute, or 10-minute set length. Please select whichever one is the best fit for your proposed set. 5-minute sets include anything below 5 minutes, 8-minute sets include anything longer than 5 minutes but shorter than 8 minutes, and 10-minute sets are anything longer than 8 minutes with a cap at 10.
  • You can use your time however you’d like so long as you do not exceed your selected time window.
• Audition videos must be recent (within the past year preferred). These DO NOT have to be in full cosplay or high quality.
  • We highly suggest submitting a video that shows your whole proposed group together, as this is the best way to see how you all perform together.
  • If you are a soloist or small group, please try to avoid submitting large group performance videos as auditions. We want as much of the focus to be on YOU!~
• Performers can submit a secondary setlist for consideration. These are not required, but we do suggest them, especially if you are submitting something from a popular series!
  • Your secondary setlist will not be accepted without communication from Team 2wisted. We will always make sure this is ok for you beforehand!
• Performance order will be randomly assigned.
  • We will be doing our best to keep things as fair as possible! If you have a scheduling conflict, please reach out. We would also like you to mention if you have panels accepted or things that may interfere with scheduling at the bottom of the application.

DURING THE DAY OF THE SHOW:

• All performers must arrive an hour before the show. Please have your full group with you by this time and do not be late. This is when we will be running through a sound check, letting each group test the stage, and getting your starting cues or positions.
  • If you have an extenuating circumstance day of, please get in touch with a member of Team 2wisted to let us know.
• Be respectful of all staff, performers, and equipment. 
  • This goes for during, before, and after the festival. We will be representing the idol community, after all!
• Please stay for the entirety of the festival.
  • We will understand if you have a conflict, but ideally, we want to support all of the idols participating. Do not leave the festival early unless you have to. Things like bathroom breaks are obviously ok!
