This 18+ Market takes place on Thursday evening of the convention. Here, you can set up and sell your 18+ artwork, manga, figures, etc.. This event is open to artists, dealers, or any attendees wishing to sell.
--Line Up & Check In--
The line will form starting at Events 1, and wrap around the back hallway. 18+ Wristbands are required to participate in this event. Any items you wish to sell must be concealed before entering the market room. Additionally, sellers must provide bags or containers that completely hide or conceal any purchased items for the buyer.
We will start seating people no later than 1 hour before the event begins. Staff will likely have the room set up beforehand, so be prepared to start earlier. Before the event opens to the public, your items will be vetted, and anything not permitted must be removed. To prevent people from gaming the system, we will not allow anyone to choose their table spot. We will start assigning tables closest to the entrance, and then work our way back. The earlier you line up, the more likely you are to get a better spot.
--How to Sell--
1. Buy admission and pick up your badge
2. Line up at Events 1.
3. Once check-in starts, staff will assign you a spot. You may request a specific spot if you wish. We will try to accommodate everyone as best we can.
4. Please be present at your table when the event opens to the public. We cannot watch anyone’s items for them.
--Table Info--
Table spots will be one per person per table, unless otherwise specified by convention staff. You are free to use the space under your table as well. Tables are first-come, first-served. Additionally, if you wish to be seated as multiple sellers, all members of your party must be present before we will seat you.
--Hallway Selling--
Per the request of the Kalahari, we cannot allow people to set up and sell in the hallways. In the event that we max out on space, a separate line will be formed for waiting sellers. As soon as a space opens, we will immediately seat you.
--Fast Pass--
Fast passes may be used to skip both the buyer line and seller line, where and when applicable. However, only VIP badge holders may use the fast pass ticket to skip the seller line. Only one Fast Pass per VIP badge may be used in this way. Anyone without a VIP badge may not use Fast Pass tickets to bypass the seller line.
--Loading In--
Per the request of the Kalahari, we cannot allow you to bring in boxes, totes, or carts of items through any of the glass doors. If you cannot bring your items in with bags (or from the hotel entrance), then we can have you bring your stuff in through the loading dock doors. Ask staff for assistance and information.
--Rules--
Permitted Merchandise:
- 18+ Artwork
- 18+ figures, body pillows, etc.
- Officially licensed 18+ toys, must be sealed and new
- Live-Action explicit or mature material must be part of a defined brand with consistent, professional presentation.
Not Permitted:
- Non 18+ Merchandise
- Artwork depicting characters as minors
- Artwork containing extreme fetishes/themes
- AI Art
- Homemade 18+ toys
- Items containing bodily fluids
- Drugs and Drug Paraphernalia
The above list may not be complete, and staff reserves the right to ultimately allow or disallow an item. If you are found to be selling unauthorized items, you will be removed from the convention as a whole. All other Colossalcon Rules & Policies still apply in the 18+ Market.
--Tips--
- Make sure you have change
- Make sure someone is present to watch your table if you need to step away momentarily
- Cart your items to/from the market in a rolling suitcase, so you don’t have to carry everything
